Does NetHelpDesk use an SQL database ? |
NetHelpDesk works
with either MS SQL Server, MSDE or MS Access for its
database. It uses MS ADO for the database engine and
this allows choice of underlying database at no extra
cost.
MSDE is a free download from the Microsoft site and is a
cut down version of SQL server.

Can data I have entered into the Trial Version be
used when I buy the full version ? |
| Yes. You can enter
data about your network into the trial version and carry
on using it when you buy the licensed version. |

Is there a manual ? |
| Yes, there is a 60
page printable manual included in the cost. There is also
an extensive help file. |

What type of support is available ? |
We offer unlimited
free e-mail and telephone support for the first year.
There is a 15 % charge for this service for subsequent
years.
Upgrades are free for the first year, and continue to be
so if you decide to pay the 15 % support charge. |

How is NetHelpDesk Licensed ? |
| Each technician or
support person that uses NetHelpDesk must have a client
license. So if your company has 12 support staff that
use NetHelpDesk then each one needs a license. You need
to purchase a 10 user copy plus 2 one user add on packs. |

Can data be imported from our existing records /
systems ? |
|
Yes. You can import existing data from spreadsheets. At
the site level, right mouse click and select 'import'.
It will import users or device details such as details
of PC's and routers. See the sample spreadsheets for the
format. You can also use the LDAP/Active Directory
interface to import and synchronise user details. |
