The most extensive way to report in NetHelpDesk is to use the Data Analyser. This has its own section in the main guide, and is a very powerful reporting tool. For quicker, more simplified reporting, the “Export List to Excel” option has been added to the Tools ribbon for use by everyone.
The idea of this button is to export the list of requests and their data that you see in the main request screen. How you view the requests, and what you choose in the Field Chooser option is down to you, and you can save regular used screens to your individual login in the Field Chooser area.
When you click the Export List to Excel option, it literally takes what is on your Ticket screen list, and populates it in an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
There are some great little options to make this more powerful, such as asking you to include any action and clearance notes against requests. You can also use the advanced filter to drill down, and look at information in a more granular way.
